Watch Noah Elkrief’s video to discover how you too can find happiness in spite of all your concerns.
There can be a tendency to think that we’ll be happy if we get married. Or we’ll be happy if we achieve success. Or we’ll be happy if we acquire the big house. But it doesn’t work like that.
Noah points out that it’s not the things out there that make us happy or unhappy. Instead, it’s what’s going on inside ourselves. The more we dwell on what might have gone wrong in the past, our concerns about the present or our anxieties about the future, the more unhappy we become.
Step-by-step, he reveals that it is our thoughts which cause our suffering, not the situation or circumstances in which we find ourselves. This is actually good news, because we have control over our thoughts. And if we have control over our thoughts, this means we have control over our happiness as well.
Noah’s Formula for a Happy Life
So, whenever you’re feeling anxious or upset, Noah recommends asking: what stories am I telling myself? You might be angry over something that a friend or colleague did. You might think you’re not up to a task you need to do. Or you might feel that happiness is out of your reach, because of uncertainties surrounding your marriage, your job or your finances.
Once you’re clear about what’s making you unhappy, you then need to ask: is it really true? Often, when you delve into whether your story is true, you find it isn’t and that happiness is within your grasp after all.
We can all make assumptions about our lives and become so entrenched in a particular point of view, that we cease to realize there is a happy alternative. Noah’s simple formula shows how it is possible to have peace and happiness all the time, not for just a fleeting moment. This video is worth 12 minutes of your time!
