Do you worry a lot about what other people think and say?
Sasha Carrion points out that this is a common problem, but in doing so, you’re stifling yourself. By trying to conform to what someone else wants, you can never win. You either feel repressed and boxed in if you do, or you’re fearful and anxious if you don’t.
So, take a few moments to listen to Sasha, as she shares three tips to help you deal with this dilemma.
Three Important Tips to Stop Worrying About What Other People Think and Say
What matters most is what you think, feel and say. It’s your life and you’re walking on your path, not anybody else’s. Not everyone’s going to understand what you’re trying to accomplish. Not everyone’s going to get it. And that’s OK.
Secondly, develop your own self-approval and self-acceptance. Some people are so critical and negative that nothing or no-one will ever appease them. It’s important to have boundaries and know that it’s not necessary for you to do anything, because you don’t need anybody else’s approval. Nurture the good in yourself and see the potential. By being self-assured, you free yourself and can forge ahead. So, do what feels right for you.
And finally, own who you really are. Work on your self-confidence so that you feel centered and grounded. Nothing and nobody can take from what feels right for you. In this way, you’ll develop more of a who cares? attitude.
Some of the most happy and successful people have been those who broke taboos, who did things differently. They went it alone to pursue their passions. They became successful in their own way.
So, be grounded and stay true to yourself and your passion, no matter what. Pay no attention to what others think and say.
